What Is It Made Of Circus Fun! (and giveaway)

Do you find when you are working on expanding expression (EET) or other describing tasks your students do not have the vocabulary to express what objects are made of?!  I am constantly giving my students choices and have to prompt in this area.  I have been working on a variety of activities that can help teach, practice, and drill different materials objects are made of.

This activity pack will help target this vocabulary concept receptively and expressively!

In this file:

-What is it made of sort:  Students will sort the items into the category of what it is made out of.  There will be a worksheet for students to complete as they sort to help them recall their responses.

-Name it:  Students will roll dice and move along board game.  For each spot they land on, they must name an item that is made out of the material they landed on.

-Which one doesn't belong:  Students will pick a card and will identify which item listed is not made out of the same material as the others.  Once they respond correctly, they can hold onto their card.  If they land on the “juggling” card, they will get an extra turn.  The student with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner.

-Color it:  Students must express what the items on the page are made out of in order to color the picture.
