Ready, Set, Go! Vocabulary Fun!

Have fun building vocabulary with this fun race car game!  I love to work on multiple skills at this time of the year.  It is a great way to review all the different concepts addressed up to this point.  You can work on one skill incorporated in activity at a time or work on all of them together.  Keep reading to learn about the skills included and how the activity works!

Using this file:
-Print and laminate the race track page.
-Grab a dice and game pawns/pieces.
-Print and laminate (or glue onto index cards/card stock) the game cards and keep them in separate piles next to the game board.
-Students can start at the “starting flags.”  They can roll the dice and move along the race track.

If they land on:
-A traffic light: Students will answer a question from the traffic light pile.  These cards require students to express synonyms and antonyms.

-A stop sign: Students will answer a question from the stop sign pile.  These cards require the students to express meanings of multiple meaning words.

-The starting flags: Students will answer a question from the flag pile.  These cards require students to express meanings of homophones.

Students will keep going until all cards are used, time runs out, or you decide the game is over.  As they answer question cards accurately, they can hold onto these cards.  At the end of the game, students will count the cards they have collected to determine a winner!

This activity is available in my TpT store!

Now it is your turn to win a copy of this activity for yourself!!  Leave a comment below and I will randomly select one Saturday, March 16th!!  Keep an eye on my Facebook page to see if you are a winner!
