Movie Skill Set Bundle!!

My Alice in Wonderland Bundle and skill sets option was such a hit that I created another one with a movie theme!  You can access each skill set individually or purchase all three together for an extremely discounted price!  All three activities using a fun and motivating movie theme!

Skill Set #1:  Movie Multiple Meaning Words:

This activity includes:

-Matching cards with definitions
-Fill in the blank.  Pick the word that best completes both sentences from choices provided.   Use with the game board provided.

There are three levels provided for each activity type:
Grades K-2
Grades 3-5
Grades 6-8

You can access this activity HERE!!

Skill set #2:  Movie Popcorn Parts of Speech:  This activity works on the various parts of speech and grammar skills.

In this file:
-Part of speech sort:  sort the popcorn into the correct container (noun, verb, adjective).

-Noun sentence completion:  Students will use the choices to complete the sentence with the correct noun tense.  Students will have to use their understanding of regular and irregular plural nouns to complete this activity.  If students pick the “movie time” card, they get an extra turn.  The student with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!

-Verb sentence completion:  Students will use the choices to complete the sentence with the correct verb tense.  Students will have to use their understanding of regular and irregular past tense verbs to complete this activity.  If students pick the “movie time” card, they get an extra turn.  The student with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner!

-Describing Director:  Students will use the board game along with the task cards in this activity.  Each task card will have a cloze sentence and adjective choices.  Students must complete the sentence accurately before taking their turn on the game board.

You can access this individual skill set HERE!

Skill set #3: Talk About Talking!  This skill  set was designed for working with students with a stutter.  However, it can easily be adapted for working on pragmatic skills, voice, articulation carryover, and other related skills.

-Talking about talking:  Use this board game and task cards to elicit conversation about talking.  This may bring up difficult conversational situations that can lead to future activities.

-Role Playing Film Reels:  Use these role playing scenarios to elicit practicing common difficult social situations.  If a student picks the “movie night” card, they get an extra turn.  The student with the most cards at the end is the winner.  If this is used in an individual session, you as the SLP can be the other player or just remove the “movie night” cards and use with a motivating game/activity.

-Student/Therapist Rating Scale:  Use this form to help rate student responses in the two activities.  Does your student progress over time?  Are they able to identify own disfluent  speech?  This can help elicit conversation.  I recommend using a digital recorder or other recording device to help students play back and self analyze.
